CIVIL SERVICE EXAM RESULTS RELEASED! Oct. 13, 2013 Philippines Exam 11.64% Passing Mark! The Civil Service Commission (CSC) has just released the results of the Career Service Examination for Professional and Sub-Professional levels conducted last October 13, 2013. You can visit the CSC website (www.csc.gov.ph) to view the results. For Professional level examinees, 13,958 passed out of the 118,896 who took the exam translating to 11.74% passing rate. On the other hand, 11.64% is the passing rate for Sub-Professional level with 2,361 passing out of the 20,278 takers. (See, the statistics ever since did not really has great gap... almost always within the vicinity or ranges of 10% to 12% passing.. Just as I agree witht the high regard person from Civil Service Commission, that hindi natin pinapapahiya ang mga pinoy, ang reason lang kasi ng High Failure Rate Rating from 88% to 90% Failure Rate ay sa kadahilanan na ang KADALASAN ng mga examinees ay MINAMALIIT lang nila ang exam... AT HINDI PINAGHAHANDAN NG MAIGE!)
According to the Commission, 139,174 examinees took the CSE-PPT (Career Service Examination-Paper and Pencil Test) out of the 160,860 WHO OFFICIALLY registered or applied for a percentage of 86.52. CSC announces exam dates
The Civil Service Commission (CSC) will administer various examinations this year to screen prospective job applicants in government.
The CSC will conduct the written Career Service Examinations (CSE), both for Professional and Sub-Professional levels, on April 14 and October 13, 2013. For the April 14 schedule, applications are being accepted at CSC Regional and Field Offices nationwide until February 28.
The CSE are general ability tests designed to measure verbal, analytical, numerical, and clerical skills. Passing the CSE entitles one to either a Professional or Sub-Professional eligibility which, along with education, experience and training requirements, is needed for permanent appointment to corresponding positions in the government career service.
It is open to Filipino citizens, regardless of educational attainment, who are at least 18 years old at the time of filing of application and who have not taken the same level of examination in less than three months. However, taking different levels of examination within the said period is allowed.
Other examinations to be administered for the year include the Foreign Service Officer Examination (FSOE) Qualifying Test and the Fire Officer Examination (FOE) on March 10; the Local Scholarship Program-Modified (LSP) Written Examination and the Penology Officer Examination (POE) on August 11.
The FSOE Qualifying Test will be conducted in collaboration with the Department of Foreign Affairs. It aims to recruit candidates for appointment to the position of Foreign Service Officer, Class IV to work for Philippine embassies and consulates.
The FOE results in the conferment of the Fire Officer Eligibility considered appropriate for appointment to second level ranks in the fire protection service and functionally related positions, except ranks under the Philippine National Police (PNP).
The LSP offers scholarship opportunities to qualified government employees. The POE results in the conferment of the Penology Officer Eligibility considered appropriate for appointment to second level ranks in the jail and penology and to functionally related services, except ranks under the PNP.
The CSC advises interested applicants of the said government examinations to visit the CSC website at www.csc.gov.ph regularly for admission qualifications, application period, requirements, procedure, and other related information.

October 21, 2012... The Schedule of The Philippine Civil Service Exam...
Simply Reminding, with a hope that this again helps:
Most Common Mistakes People Make in Multiple Choice Tests Like the CPC Exam
The Civil Service Exam is not a
walk in the park despite it being an open book test. You have 5 hours and 40 minutes to answer 150 multiple choice questions regarding the correct application of CPT, HCPCS Level II procedure and supply codes and ICD-9-CM diagnosis codes. The passing rate for first-time exam takers are almost less than half. With so much pressure to pass the CPC exam, it is easy to fall for simple and common exam mistakes if you're not careful. These mistakes apply in almost any multiple choice tests, so knowing how to avoid them can definitely help you in your effort to become a certified medical coder.
Multiple choice exams are a fact of life. Whether it is for certification, assessment, research, or even in elections, we all have taken multiple choice tests at some point in our lives. Through experience we learn that there are some common themes to the mistakes that people make in these exams.
Listen or read the instructions carefully
You might know what to expect in the exam, but never disadvantage yourself by skipping the instructions. The CPC exam is a proctored exam so listen carefully while the proctor reads the instructions. If you have any doubts or aren't clear about something, make sure to ask before the examination begins. The worst thing you can do about an instruction that you're not clear about is to assume or put if off until later to correct it.
Misreading the question
The questions are there to test your knowledge and skill, not to trick you or see how clever you are. If a question seems easy or straightforward, then just answer it and move on. Sometimes we fall into the trap of over-thinking a question and start to doubt or second-guess ourselves. Given how pressed for time we are in the CPC exam, it is better to move on rather than waste time trying to get the perfect answer.
Answering a question
Before you even enter the exam hall, make sure you have the correct tools for the job. The AAPC certification exam requires you to use #2 pencils, so make sure you have plenty to work with. Bring along several erasers that work best on exam answer sheets, so you don't waste time fiddling and smudging the answer sheet with a bad eraser. Always follow instructions, so make sure you fill in the answers as shown or illustrated to ensure the machine or person who will be checking your answers does not disqualify you.
Leaving an answer blank
Depending on the test, each question might carry different weight or points. The CPC exam questions are all worth the same, despite the effort to answer them. So you need a strategy for answering questions that keep you moving forward. If you have problem answering a tough question, just move on and come back later when you have the time. Even if you ran out of time, leave a few minutes at the end to make an educated guess for all unanswered questions. You're not penalized on wrong answers so leaving it blank is the worst you can do.
Letting the pressure get to you
You spent a lot of time, money, and effort to prepare for the CPC exam, so understandably there is a lot of pressure riding on it to pass and get certified so you can move on with your life. But if you let it get to you during the exam, mistakes are sure to follow. Learn to control your emotions and relax. Come up with a plan and strategy for time management and answering questions and stick to it. There are plenty of cases where people who are under too much pressure and think too hard about the answers make simple mistakes like:
1. Filling in the wrong answer.
2. Getting the question numbers wrong in the answer sheet.
3. Ignored or forgot about the clock.
4. Filling up the wrong name or details in the form.
Hopefully now that you know some of the most common mistakes you can make in a multiple choice exam like the CPC exam, you can avoid it come exam time. The key is to be prepared and relax so you can focus.
Special Tips:
When you encounter difficult questions, these tips are going to be very handy especially as you go through your Praxis test preparations.
Cancel out choices that are incorrect.
Give less consideration to options that have ABSOLUTE words like all, always or not. They're almost always the wrong option.
When you know that two or more of the choices are correct, the all of the above option is a strong possibility.
If they require number answers, consider the mid-range numbers and cross out the highest and lowest options.
Check for options that are the complete opposite of each other. Chances are one of them is the right answer.

FYI:
90% of those who took the exam failed!
Ang reason ng High Failure Rate?
Minamaliit kadalasan at hindi pinaghandaan!
(Imagine! 90 out of 100 failed?)
Just this week!
Many have called us now asking for help...
About how to get pass the exam (as scheduled for
Oct 13, 2013)
Again the help that our subscribers are getting from
us is by helping them TRULY prepared even up to the kind
of preparation that "WORKS LIKE NO OTHER ELSE"
But SPEAKING of preparation, that GREATLY involves NON-Pressured
time! otherwise... hehehe
Many have called us just this week (starting Oct 1), a week before the
Oct 13 exam... and they inquired and even asked for help...
We said, "the best possible help that you can get from us
is to realize that 90% of those who took the exam failed, ang
reason ay dahil kadalasan minamaliit ang Civil Service Exam
AT hindi pinaghandaan..."
Speaking of paghahanda, kailangan mo ang time... ENOUGH TIME!
(EVEN starting from the day you came out from the
womb of your mother! hehehe)
Or possibly not less than 90 days before the exam... But what happened
is that some of those who called us just find time to
call us JUST now/// (ONE-WEEK NALANG MAGEEXAM NA sila)!
So by that alone, TALAGANG mahihirapan nilang pasahin ang
Civil Service Exam! Dahil ang ginagawa nila ay hindi preparation...
What they are doing is CRAMMING....
Yes, you heard me right! Crammmmmmmmminggggggggggggg!
Hindi naman talaga mahirap ang exam....
At hindi rin balak ng CSC na ipahihiya ang
mga pinoy...
